Are you tired of the classic hummus recipes you have made for so many years? Then, you might have your new favorite hummus recipe by simply adding one extra ingredient – canned artichoke hearts. Not only, this ingredient will bring new taste, but it will bring the traditional hummus recipe to a whole nother level. You can eat it plain on toasted bread or just as served here with tortilla chips. You will make it in under 10 minutes and can enjoy it with your family and friends.

Ingredients

Artichoke Lemon Hummus

  • 1 can quartered artichoke hearts, (not in oil), drained
  • 1 can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
  • 1 tbsp. tahini
  • 6 garlic cloves, peeled
  • 1/4 cup arugula
  • 1 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. lemon zest
  • 1/2 tsp. sea salt
  • 1 tbsp. good olive oil (break out the good stuff)
  • 2 to 3 tbsp. water

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients into a food processor and puree.
