If you have the opportunity, always make your own chimichurri sauce because there’s nothing better than homemade flavors made from scratch. Especially when the flavors are created with homegrown foods like the herbs I am using in this dish! This meal is super easy to make, only a simple marinade for the beef meat and some freshly made chimichurri sauce to top that beautiful beef! YUM! If you are such a fan of sweet and savory flavors combined together, then this one’s for you. The beef is loaded with caramelization from the honey and the savoriness from the soya sauce, and let me tell you something – these are my favorite flavors mixed together. And oh yeah, let’s not forget the beautiful freshness that comes from that chimichurri sauce! Go and cook up something special for friends and family. Pour into a plastic bag and add the skirt steak. Marinate overnight. In a medium bowl, stir together ingredients for chimichurri sauce and refrigerate for at least one hour. Pour a little oil onto a paper towel and whip a grill pan with the oil. Put over medium-high heat and heat until the pan just starts to smoke. Cook the skirt steak on one side for 3 minutes. Turn over and cook for another 2 minutes for medium-rare steak. Place the steak onto a cutting board and let rest for at least 5 minutes. Thinly slice the steak across the grain. Serve with sauce.
