Mashed potatoes are one of the most requested side dishes. These mashed potatoes are enriched with rutabaga and that’s what makes them so special and different then other recipes. Even though it doesn’t sound like a match that pairs well, you will love how those two ingredients bind together. All you will need is just a few simple and cheap ingredients to make a perfect side dish that will wow the crowd on your dinner table.

Ingredients

Mashed Potato and Rutabaga

  • 1½ lbs Yukon gold potatoes, peeled

  • 2 tbsp. light butter
  • 1½ tsp. salt
  • Fresh ground black pepper
